Keystone Centre, Brandon
Explore Brandon on your travels through Manitoba. Set in the southwestern region of the province, Brandon is Manitoba's second largest city and home to an array of exciting teams and local sports clubs.
Pay a visit to the Keystone Centre – a large, multi-use facility built in 1972 – near downtown Brandon. Keystone houses the Westman Communications Group Place, where you’ll catch Western Hockey League action as the Brandon Wheat Kings take the ice.
A popular and successful club, the Wheat Kings were established in 1936 and have a history of producing NHL caliber talent. Aside from the WHL, Hockey Brandon is a local hockey association with men’s and women’s teams in divisions ranging from Female Peewee to men’s Bantam.
Brandon isn’t only excited about hockey, though. Home to a thriving curling community, Brandon residents and guests enjoy the Riverview Curling Club. Established in 1971, the Riverview Curling Club is the only curling club in Brandon owned and operated by its members.
The Brandon Curling Club continues the city's curling excitement. Tracing its roots back to 1890, the Brandon Curling Club is easily one of the oldest such clubs in the area. With men’s, women’s, and senior leagues, the Brandon Curling Club holds events at the Eight-Sheet Curling Rink – part of the Keystone Centre.
